Opportunity:
We are looking for a full-time, passionate and creative Graphic Designer to join our Media Team. This role is ideal for someone who loves animals and has a strong sense of visual storytelling. You will be responsible for creating compelling visual content that captures the spirit of Dog Tales and helps share our animals' journeys with the world. Your work will appear across social media platforms, newsletters, website content, print materials, and more.
About Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary:
Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. For the rest, Dog Tales is home for as long as they need it to be.

The Role:
- Design eye-catching graphics for social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, etc.)
- Create layouts and visuals for digital newsletters and email campaigns
- Assist with the development of print materials, including brochures, event signage, and merchandise
- Support branding efforts by ensuring consistency in visual tone and style across all materials
- Collaborate closely with photographers, videographers, and copywriters to produce cohesive content
- Translate complex or emotional stories into engaging and digestible visual formats
- Maintain and organize design files, templates, and assets
- Stay current with design trends and recommend new creative approaches
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in graphic design or related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, or other design tools
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, especially social media content
- Excellent understanding of visual storytelling and branding
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with social media trends and engagement strategies
- Passion for animal welfare and alignment with Dog Tales’ mission

Schedule
This is a full-time position with a schedule of 8 AM – 5 PM, five days a week, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
