Media Team Manager

Opportunity:
We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Media Team Manager to join our team full-time, on-site. In this role, you’ll manage our Media team, creating and executing social media campaigns that drive engagement and action. You’ll be responsible for publishing original content, improving brand awareness, and building an interactive social media community. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working under tight deadlines, as you’ll handle a high volume of content across multiple platforms.
About Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary:
Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. For the rest, Dog Tales is home for as long as they need it to be.

The Role:
- Managing and leading a team of specialists, artists, videographers, and photographers.
- Overseeing creation and scheduling with the Media team to ensure content is on time and up to standard across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more.
- Organizing and planning photoshoots to capture compelling content.
- Managing and monitoring social media channels to ensure followers are engaged and responses are timely.
- Analyzing the performance of campaigns and adjusting strategies to improve results.
- Creating a social media plan and calendar to drive awareness and interaction.
- Managing our online shop and sourcing items.
- Planning and leading Open House, adoption, volunteer, staff, and fundraising events.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure content is accurate and relevant.
- Conducting daily and weekly meetings with the Media team.
What You Bring:
- A degree or experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience managing a social media team.
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics.
- A creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a schedule of 8 AM – 5 PM, five days a week, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
